Thermometer calibration & temperature QC

From bench thermometers to vaccine-fridge probes, BMCA calibrates and QCs temperature devices against NIST-traceable references — documented for CLIA, CAP, and the CDC VFC program.

// Temperature service

Trust your temperature record before anyone asks for it

BMCA verifies each temperature device against NIST-traceable references at the points that matter for your application, documents the result, and labels the unit — so your cold-chain and storage records hold up to scrutiny.

Why it matters

Temperature is the most-monitored variable in a lab and the most-cited when records are thin. Calibrated devices plus clean documentation make this a non-issue on survey day.

Each calibration includes

  • Verification against NIST-traceable references
  • Single- or multi-point as appropriate
  • Digital, glass, probe & data-logger support
  • Vaccine-storage (VFC) documentation
  • NIST-traceable certificate
  • Dated label per device

// Frequently asked

Thermometer calibration & temperature QC — common questions

Why calibrate thermometers and temperature monitors?
Specimen integrity, reagent stability, and vaccine viability all depend on accurate temperature. Out-of-cal thermometers can mean spoiled product and failed inspections. Calibration verifies each device reads true against a traceable reference.
Do you support vaccine refrigerator monitoring (VFC)?
Yes. The CDC’s Vaccine for Children program requires calibrated temperature-monitoring devices with a certificate of traceability. We calibrate those probes and data loggers and provide the documentation.
What devices can you calibrate?
Digital and liquid-in-glass thermometers, fridge/freezer probes, data loggers, and continuous monitoring sensors across lab, pharmacy, and storage settings.
How often is thermometer calibration required?
Commonly annually, though VFC and some accrediting bodies specify their own intervals. We align your schedule to the applicable requirement.
Is the certificate inspection-ready?
Yes — NIST-traceable, showing reference values and device readings, with a dated label for each unit.
