Closed out cleanly, wherever it goes next

Whoever receives an instrument next — a service vendor, a buyer, a recycler, or a surveyor reviewing your equipment list — needs to see the same things: that it was decontaminated, by whom, and where it went. BMCA handles the work and the paperwork.

Equipment decontamination, relocation & removal — common questions

Can you remove a cabinet from an upper floor or a tight lab?
Yes. We survey access, disassemble where needed and coordinate building management, elevators and loading docks. Send photos and we'll quote from them.
Can you decontaminate and reinstall the same unit in a new lab?
Yes — decontamination, move, reinstallation and re-certification or re-calibration as one scheduled job, so the instrument lands on the new site's equipment list already documented.
Do you buy used histology equipment?
Often. Working cryostats, microtomes and processors from major manufacturers have resale value. Ask before you scrap one.
Who performs biosafety cabinet decontamination?
Gaseous decontamination and re-certification are performed by Medrep Technologies, our preferred subcontracted certification partner, and managed by BMCA.
Is a decontamination certificate really required?
Most manufacturers, freight carriers and buyers will not touch a cabinet or cryostat without one, and surveyors expect a clean close-out on your equipment list.
